The Nigerian Youth and Greatness - BallerGoal.com

A proven global strategy that sustains long term success in nation building entails evolving policies that provide good jobs for a growing population and youths.

This is based on the fact that well informed and dedicated youths offer a whole range of possibilities for classification and delineation of the potential growth points that will drive socio-economic development in any nation. However, failure of succeeding governments in our nation to provide and sustain such policies triggered audacious acts of desperation and frustration among the citizens especially the youths.

Education isn't serving as a platform to a better life or that key to doors of opportunities young ones were made to see it as.
Some families sacrifice their last just to make sure a child from the household cross that line of education, because they feel over that line are bounties of rewards and the only true way out to redeem them from hardship. But most youths attain that education only to find frustration along with growing weight of expectations.

This frustration is visible in their desperate plunge into vices, restiveness and unproductivity that lead them to risk their precious lives. Sordid tales of desperate sojourns across the Maghreb deserts and Mediterranean Sea in search of greener pastures abound in public discourse and bombard our recent memories with deafening brokenness.

The government need to convince our youths to believe in the long term planning system, because all they see is the short-term way out to success.

And before trying to convince masses to believe in a plan, there must be proven evidence for the people to see it's working or it would work, because one thing which can never be recovered is time.

When positive avenues are not provided for youths to use their skills to succeed, they will look for negative means to attain success with such skills. Afterall we are in a world people care more about results than whatever skill you have to offer.

Recent efforts advanced as part of Nigerian Constitutional reforms to provide a platform on which youths can freely express their desires and aspirations towards the overall development of our great nation is commendable and significant because they are very vital to the vision of any nation that wants to grow and develop.

But youths require much more than requisite skills to emerge victorious in the battle between timid ignorance and constructive knowledge in the modern and evolving world we live in.

The impotent drive by successive governments to create opportunities for youths to escape the glut of idleness and unproductivity should not be handled alone by our institutions because their efforts to provide support to lessen the scourge of decadence among the youths have been far from encouraging.

A lot more needs to be done because Nigerian youths, like others, need strong role models, sound leadership trainings, sustained relevant skill acquisition, economic empowerment and opportunities for political inclusion. Such measures will definitely pave a critical success path to greater roles in determining the shape of the future of our great nation. Although, the system obtainable in our nation provides little or no room for such at the moment, the youths can make their voices heard by pursuing positive interests that advance the morally, physically and productively. The onus lies on the government to lead the way while youths must imbibe attitudes that promote and sustain growth and development on a long term basis.
