Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has called for more action to address gender based violence against the girl child, saying violence against the girl child seems to be more pronounced lately.
Fresh Angle International can report that she made the call in a terse message released via her twitter handle, Friday October 11, in commemoration of this year’s International Day of the Girl Child.
The theme of this year’s celebration is: "GirlForce: Unscripted and Unstoppable".
While stating that all hands must be on deck to address violence against the girl child, Mrs. Buhari opined, “I am happy to note the progress that has been made in the area of activism by girls to protect their gender”.
