The Uyo Zonal office of EFCC, On Thursday December 5, 2019, arraigned one Patrick Bassey before Justice Okon Okon of State High Court Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on a four count charge bordering on forgery, illegal Conversion and Obtaining by False Pretence.
Bassey who claimed to be an agent representing Milestone Health Limited/UNIQMED.COM was alleged to have altered the payment details originally captured on an invoice/payment instruction in favour of Milestone Limited/UNIQMED.COM, to his personal GTBank account number 0129011524.
The payment which was in the tune of N1,810,100 (One Million Eight Hundred and Ten Thousand One Hundred Naira) was then diverted by the accused for his personal use instead of procuring the medical equipment that the payment was meant for.
