Robbers shoot Julius Berger staff, DBS Warri driver without resistance from police attaché

A Driver with Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, identified simply as Amaechi and a Julius Berger Nigeria Plc staff also identified as Reuben at about 4am Thursday October 3 sustained gunshot injuries from armed robbers’ bullets, Fresh Angle can authoritatively report.

It was reliably gathered that Reuben was shot on his leg for accosting the robbers, demanding the release of his Audi car key which the robbers initially seized from him, while Amaechi was mistaken to be a policeman by the robbers because of the Toyota Hilux van of  Delta Broadcasting Service that he was driving along Ugborikoko near Ejiro Schools and he was immediately shot at the back of his head.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the robbers had  went to the  end of Emebiren street in Okumagba layout where they dispossessed some residents of the area of their bracelets, mobile phones, money and other personal effects.

They reportedly accessed Emebiren Street through a private institution, Standard International School from Mudiaga Odje Street.

Fresh Angle gathered that  Amaechi who was on his way to convey staff of Delta Broadcasting Service,DBS, billed to resume work was in the company of a mobile policeman who sat by his right hand side with a pistol when the robbers believed to be about five in number shot him from behind and his vehicle veered into an open drainage after he fell on his head and lost control of the vehicle.

Our Senior Correspondent gathered that the robbers left without resistance from the mobile policeman attached to the Delta Broadcasting Service van.

The DBS Warri driver, Amaechi was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital, while the Julius Berger staff , Reuben who was initially  taken to Syracuse Clinic in Warri was later transferred to his company’s hospital by some of his colleagues.
