A pastor with Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, whose name was given as Philip Afemekhe has been shot dead in Benin City, the Edo Sate Capital by unknown gunmen, Our Benin City Correspondent reports
The cleric, Pastor Afemekhe who was said to be residing along Jemila road, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City was allegedly killed by the gunmen who stormed his residence in the early hours of the morning.
Reports had it that the gunmen gained access into the pastor’s bedroom after pulling down the window and asked him to kneel down after which they shot him on the chest several times and left without removing anything from the house.
When contacted, the Edo State Police Command Spokesman, Moses Eguavoen (DSP) said he was yet to get details of the suspected assassination and promised to release the detail as soon as the DPO in charge of the area briefs him.
