Polls: Opuoru drags 6/6 campaign to Warri Markets

Delta State Commissioner in-charge of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Mr. Matthew Poko Opuoru today took the Delta South PDP campaign of 6/6 to Okere, Polokor and Karien Markets as well as shops at Cinema Site in Warri, calling on the traders to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan, Senator James Manager and Hon. Daniel Reyenieju in this Saturday Polls.

The Commissioner who led hundreds of PDP Chieftains and Faithful in Okumagba Wards 1 and 2 as well as other Wards in Warri to distribute hundreds of apron to traders in the busy markets, assured the traders that a vote for President Goodluck Jonathan, Senator James Manager, the member representing Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Daniel Reyenieju, Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the member representing Warri South Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Dennis Omovie and other PDP candidates in the March 28 and April 11 polls, will guarantee continuity in human capital as well as infrastructural development in the area.

Opuoru who is Secretary of PDP Campaign Council for Warri South Local Government Area, assured traders at Polokor Market that the PDP administration in the State will soon tackle insecurity that has bedeviled the market in recent times and promised that all internal roads within and around major markets in Warri will soon be fixed with a view to boosting commerce and easing traffic.

According to the Commissioner, the era when people vote according to ethnic sentiment were over, noting that what the electorates should put into consideration before casting their vote in the forthcoming polls are experience and ability to perform.

The President-General of Okere-Urhobo, Warri, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba who was among PDP Chieftains in the area that accompanied Mr. Matthew Opuoru on the campaign train also enjoined the traders to shun ethnic sentiment and vote for all PDP candidates.

Our Correspondents report that Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Sunny Aguweye, Serving Councilors, some former members of Warri South Local Government Council Transition Committee as well as former Chairman of Okere-Urhobo Community Development Committee, CDC, Mr. Emmanuel Eminokanju were among party stalwarts that joined in the Campaign Train expected to be rounded off Thursday March 26 at the popular Igbudu Market, Warri
