Re-Orientation: Ambassador targets Niger Delta Youths of 12-26 age brackets
Ambassador Young Piero

Widely travelled social crusader and Ambassador, Youths for Human Rights International, Young Piero says as part of a new strategy to stop the “I loyal syndrome” of most youths in the Niger Delta, he has concluded plans to launch a new programme targeted at young people between the ages of 12 and 26.

Ambassador Young Piero who is the founder of Jet Age Nation Builders and Niger Delta Coalition made the disclosure in a media chat shortly after he returned from Dubai, United Arab Emirate, where he attended an award ceremony.

He explained that the essence of the programme targeted at young Niger Deltans of ages 12 to 26, was to re-orientate their minds and make them develop a sense of self worth as well as believe, instead of making themselves cheap political tools for self seeking political leaders.

Piero posited “youths of today don’t have foresight, no self confidence and how can we have a better Nation if this trend continues? This is why the need to re-orientate our young ones and redirect their minds have become extremely necessary.”

According to him, rather than blaming government alone for the increasing unemployment, parents as well as elderly ones who deliberately sit tight in their positions and refuse to retire at the appropriate age, should share part of the blame for the growing unemployment.

He averred that the problem in the 21st century is not inability to read, but “people who are not ready to learn, unlearn and relearn.”

Ambassador Young Piero who has won awards such as Nigeria Dream Personality Award at the Nigeria Rebirth Project 2016, Youngest Stakeholder in Niger Delta at the Young Leadership Summit 2016 and Youth Ambassador Honor at the United Nations for Human Rights International, United Nations headquarters, declared, “I am working to create a world that would be of interest to everyone of us.” He added, “we keep hearing that the future belongs to the young, but it will never be if we do not take it.”

Ambassador Piero who is the CEO, Young Piero Tour International reveals plan to organize a Niger Delta Youth Conference in Delta State before the end of 2016, saying the conference is aimed at honoring young Niger Deltans who have distinguished themselves in their chosen career without the help of self seeking political leaders.
