Why we embarked on tour of 25 LGAs in Delta, PDP Scribe
Obi-Nzete

The Peoples Democratic Party Delta State Secretary, Chief Godday Obi-Nzete has advanced the reasons why the state executive of the party, led by Bar. Kingsley Esiso took a tour of all the 25 local government areas of the state.

The party scribe who spoke to Journalists in Asaba, the State capital said; "We Call it familiarization tour, we went to familiarize ourselves with the excos at the local and ward levels, it is a kind of formal introduction of the authentic excos in the various LGAs. Members and supporters in various local government area, it was a very good one. That's politics for you, as a party courtesy demands that we should be able to reach out to our people to see how they are doing, and our movement so far was a great one, that we are on ground and then we also experienced how popular and efficient people are in various LGAs, so far the LGA Chairmen have done well and doing well and i encourage them to do more."

He said finding and observed affirmed the unity in PDP structure in the state, explaining that as usual there must  be disagree to agree in principle in every settings.

According to Obi-Nzete, “They expect State excos to make move after compiling our findings and then straighten records in the areas we feel that we have little gap or little loophole, behind every little thing we are doing there will be little gap and that gap we will try every purposeful means we can to fill it in due process which the party will employ, myself and the Chairman Esiso will ensure we will never leave any stone untouched. To ensure the party will be more United and successful.”

He pointed out that Deltans are happy with Gov Okowa’s administration compare to other states, the Government has done so good, I pray that God Almighty will continue to give him that mind to do more, and also advice Deltans to be calm that Gov Okowa will do more than what they expect, to ensure that Deltans are happy.

"The most prominent thing about the governor is that you to be happy than himself, If Deltans are happy he is happy, there are few persons that can have such character he is number one among them. I also urge other persons to emulate him because if they do the state will be better."

He urged the citizens never take laws into their hands because according to him, it is not in our characters bearing in mind that the party belong to all of us, power belong to the people we are in Democratic government where vote counts nobody can hijack power as far we are concerned and they should remain calm and I appeal to Deltans who are aggrieved in one way or the other.  I urge them to remain calm, and still work with the party and return home. They should channel their grievances to the appropriate quarter and it will be addressed. The Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso is very capable i commend him for his efforts and approach to issues, with me as the Secretary the party has no problems, Deltans should work with us and things will come out smoothly.

Our Delta North Correspondent reports that the scribe advised party members not to be aggrieved because they have not been considered for appointment saying, “Some worked for the party while some didn't, and see position you see can't be given to everybody at the same time, it is turn by turn, a man is privileged to get position, God giveth power those appointed today is the will of God, other persons should also wait, definitely it will get to their turn. Because there is no way all will rush to Government House. The government is still flowing by next year other persons will be appointed, a patient dog eats the fattest bone. It will get to them and I urge those that have been appointed to be servants of the people and not Lords of the people. They should try to see how to help the government too, because the governor can't do it all, they should appoint persons as their aides too and it will begin to flow in their directions too.”
