Two weeks after the resignation of the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Tim Nda Dichie, the Kogi State Executive Council under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello have passed a resolution to adopt Bar. Kehinde Oloruntoba on temporarily basis as the Commissioner of Agriculture.
Our Kogi State Correspondent reports that Barr. Kehinde Oloruntoba who currently occupying the position of the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, will also have to officiate over his extant ministry and also fill in the lacuna created by Dr. Tim in the Ministry of Agriculture.
Governor Bello made this known yesterday, Thursday December 15 while addressing the directors of the ministry immediately after the executive meeting.
While appealing for their collaborative efforts to achieve the goals of the ministry as enshrined in the Governor's blueprint program, he quipped that "agriculture is the hope of Nigeria's economy thus, the Ministry of Agriculture is pivotal in the new direction map of the State Government."
