Don't Release Your PVC, Bank Details, Obidient/ OK Movement Tells Deltans

The Delta State Coordinator of the Obidient/OK Movement, Hon. Favour Emerure, has alleged that operatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have invaded PVC collection centres across Delta State to buy voters cards under the guise of empowerment.

In a press statement on Thursday, October 9, 2026, Emerure said as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commenced PVC distribution, credible reports showed persons collecting names, phone numbers, VINs and bank account details from unsuspecting Deltans.

He described the act as illegal vote-buying and a financial scam.

According to the Delta Obidient/Ok Movement Coordinator to Deltans "Do not fall for this criminal gimmick. No individual or party agent is allowed to collect, keep or buy another person’s PVC. Section 22 of the Electoral Act 2022 prohibits possession of another person’s PVC or VIN. It is an offence punishable by imprisonment,” he warned.

Emerure noted that the promise of N5,000 or N10,000 cash transfer was not empowerment but an attempt to steal votes ahead of the 2027 elections.

He also cautioned that releasing PVC details alongside bank account information could expose residents to fraud.

“Why would any genuine empowerment need your PVC number? No real government programme operates like that. With your full name, phone number and account number, criminals can compromise your account. Never release your BVN,” he said.

He advised voters to collect their PVCs only from authorized INEC officials, never to release the original, photocopy, or allow anyone to photograph it, and to immediately report any suspicious persons at collection centres to INEC and security agents.

“Your PVC is your power. Protect it. Your vote is your future. Don’t sell it for any amount. A New Nigeria is POssible,” he noted.O
