The All Progressives Congress, APC candidate in the April 26, 2017 Warri South Constituency 1 Bye-Election, Prince Stanley Emiko has challenged the federal government on the development of people of the Niger Delta, saying any attempt to develop the region without patronizing or encouraging Niger Delta indigenous investors will amount to naught.
The APC Stalwart who is also the PRO of Itsekiri National Youth Congress, INYC appealed to the Presidency to review the allocation of oil blocs in the Niger Delta as “80% of the oil blocs at present were allocated to Northerners, even though we have a lot of Niger Deltans who are in the oil business sector as well”.
While stressing that Northerners would not accept someone from the Niger Delta controlling 80% if ranches and other agro-allied base business concern are set up in the Northern region, Prince Emiko asserted that the only way to maintain peace in the country is to ensure equity and justice.

Prince Stanley Emiko
He commended the Buhari administration, particularly Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for the concerted efforts towards sustaining peace in the Niger Delta, adding that it has gone a long way to boost the Nation’s daily crude oil production.
