Forum donates furniture to Okpe School after awarding scholarships

A combination of like-minds driven by the desire to promote education, the Jeddo Stakeholders’ Forum, JSF on Friday November 3 donated sets of furniture to Jeddo Secondary School in Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, Fresh Angle International can report. The gesture came on the heels of previous effort by the forum which saw them awarding scholarships to some indigenes of Jeddo community.

President of JSF, Engr. James Umukoro who handed over the sets of furniture which can conveniently seat over 120 students to the Chief Inspector of Education, Okpe Local Government Area, Mrs. Ishagbe Edjetavbo, emphasized that education is the bedrock of National growth/development.

While noting that the forum is ready to partner other relevant stakeholders in making sure Jeddo get the needed development, Engr. Umukoro averred that they are determined to compliment the efforts of government in terms of educational development.

The Head of Personnel Management of Okpe Local Government Council, Grace Christmas and the Chief Inspector of Education in the Local Government, Mrs. Ishegbe Edjetavbe commended JSF for the gesture and tasked the management of the school to ensure judicious use of the sets of furniture.

The Principal of Jeddo Secondary School, Mrs. Phina Origho expressed delight at the donation, saying it was one of the most pressing needs of the school.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the immediate past President of the forum, Hon. Paul Onome and the Unuevworo of Jeddo, Solomon Bayagbon were among those that spoke during the presentation.
