The agent of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorge Mendes has held secret meeting with PSG officials in a hotel over a possible move from Real Madrid.
The striker told Mendes to test the water as contract talks have stalled in the Spanish capital, according to Diario Gol.
Real President, Florentino Perez is unwilling to raise Ronaldo’s salary, with the Portuguese talisman failing to reach his previous level this season.
The 32-year-old has been performing well in the Champions League but only scored once in La Liga.
With negotiations over a fresh deal at an impasse, Ronaldo is weighing up his options and Perez would want to cash in on the aging superstar while he can.
PSG appear to be one of the few clubs with the financial firepower to lure Ronaldo and bolster their already lethal attacking line.
The four-time Ballon d’Or winner’s preference is reportedly to stay with Zinedine Zidane’s side.
But if the club are unwilling to agree to his terms, PSG are waiting to see how the situation develops.
Chairman of the French club, Nasser Al – Khelaifi is known to be a huge admirer of Ronaldo and would relish the opportunity to bring him to the club.
