Warri South suspends payment of revenue

Authorities of Warri South Local Government Council have admonished residents of the local government not to pay revenue to anyone or agent for now pending when New revenue committees will be constituted for 2018.

Management of the local government council in a statement released through its Information Unit Friday December 22, stressed that the warning became necessary so as to save business owners and other inhabitants of Warri from paying revenue to unauthorized agents and ultimately confronted with multiple taxation.

The statement also cautioned residents of the Oil City of Warri against indiscriminate dumping of refuse, especially along the median of major roads and streets, noting that anyone caught dumping refuse on the median of the roads will pay a N5, 000 fine.

The council used the medium to wish people of Warri South Local Government Area a merry Christmas and prosperous 2018, as it prays for improved revenue profile with a view to ensuring better service delivery.
