Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi says the ongoing clean-up in Warri is beyond the planned visit of Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to Warri South Local Government, insisting his administration within the last two months in office has taken sanitation exercise to the rural and riverine areas of the local government.

Hon. Tidi who made the clarification Friday March 30 at Ogunu Flyover in Warri while inspecting the clean-up exercise, stated that it was as a result of improving on the environmental sanitation stride of his predecessor that his administration decided to introduce the annual cleanest community award.

He enjoined traders in Ugbuwangue Market and other markets in Warri to ensure clean sanitary condition of their environment, just as he enjoined motorists to adhere strictly to traffic rules and park their vehicles properly.
