Fresh crisis hits Omadino over planned inauguration of OEDA

A fresh leadership crisis is brewing in the oil-rich Omadino Community of Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State over imminent plan by the Austin Oniyesan purported out-gone executive to inaugurate a new Omadino Employment and Development Association, OEDA against what the Omadino Council of Elders headed by Elder O. D. Edukugho described as illegality.

In a statement made available to Fresh Angle International Monday May 28, Secretary of Omadino Council of Elders, Mr. Buge Edukugho advised Omadino indigenes, Itsekiris and the public in general to disregard the planned inauguration slated for Tuesday May 29.

Mr. Buge posited, "a Warri South Area Customary Court had in a suit No. WSDCC/575/2015 between Prince Metsese Diden and 8 ors Vs Niro Yomere and 26 ors had restrained Austin Oniyesan and his cohorts from driving the affairs of the community in any manner whatsoever and also rejected the contention by Austin Oniyesan and his fellow travellers that the council of elders was headed by Pa Victor Ewomiewaraghan Esu and scribed by one Emmanuel Ajuyah.

It however upheld the plaintiffs' position in the case that the council of elders is headed by Elder O.D. Edukugho and scribed by himself".
He argued that the court ordered the council of elders headed by Elder O. D. Edukugho to put machinery in place to conduct free and fair election for OEDA within 30 days from the judgment which was delivered on May 10, 2018.
According to Mr. Buge,a time table for the election shall be released publicly as soon as the certified true copy of the enrollment of judgment is formally obtained.
