Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Hon. Michael Tidi Thursday May 31signed draft estimate of five billion, six hundred and fifty three million, two hundred and thirty nine thousand, four hundred and forty five naira, thirty one kobo (N5, 653, 239, 445.31) as 2018 budget of Warri South Local Government Council after passage by the Warri South Council Legislative Arm.

Hon. Tidi, while signing the 2018 appropriation christened “budget of transformation”, described the brief ceremony as historic since the creation of Warri South Local Government.

The Warri South Council Boss vowed to actualize the set target of the budget, noting that his administration will enforce the revenue law and anyone who evades tax will be prosecuted.

He commended his Vice, Mrs. Divine Iniovosa, Leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, all councilors, Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Oribioye Uwale, the Council’s Head of Personnel Management, H.P.M, Mrs. Remi Omatsuli , TLG, Mr. Sunday Otighi for their support in moving the local government to enviable height.

It will  be recalled that  Hon. Michael Tidi on Thursday April 19, presented a budget estimate of five billion, six hundred and fifty three million, two hundred and thirty nine thousand, four hundred and forty-five naira, thirty one kobo (N5, 653, 239,445.31) to the Warri South Council Legislature for consideration and approval.

In another development, Hon. Tidi received the Management of Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, WRPC led by the Manager, Public Affairs Department, PAD, Veronica Okolo.

In her address, Veronica Okolo, intimated the Warri South Council Boss of the rehabilitation work on some major plants in WRPC which will involve the local communities, assuring that the company will carry the host communities along so long as they sustain the prevailing peace in the area.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the WRPC PAD Manager was accompanied by the company’s Supervisor of Community Relations, Mrs. Rita Ifolochukwuka Okonkwo.

In his response, Hon. Tidi assured WRPC Management Team of his administration’s support in sustenance of peaceful environment so as to attract more investors to Warri.
