A Niger Delta based Human and Peace Advocate, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has called on candidates for 2019 general elections to show maturity by accepting the outcome of the polls for peace with a view to “growing our democracy”.
Comrade Mulade who is also the National Coordinator, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, while speaking to newsmen in Abuja, implored all Candidates for the 2019 general elections to allow peace to reign before, during and after the elections, urging electorates to turn out en-mass and vote for candidates of their choice.
The renowned activist said, "It is pertinent to state that the world is watching us and we must do everything humanly possible to conduct free, fair, credible and peaceful elections. All eyes are on us and we must show good example by accepting the outcome of elections. There should be no violence and we must not set our Nation ablaze because of four years of power. I want to strongly appeal to all candidates to show sportsmanship by embracing winners and support them but anyone who noticed irregularities should seek peaceful redress in the court of law".
