The attention of the Delta State Police Command has been drawn to a Cable News Online Publication, dated 11th August, 2019, captioned “Armed Robbers Invade Police Barracks in Delta”.

The Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Adeyinka Adeleke hereby wishes to state that the publication is not only misleading but a mere figment of the imagination of the author. He has therefore enjoined members of the public to disregard it in all its entirety, stating that it was a calculated attempt to create apprehension in the state.

The offices of the Commissioner of Police and the Police Public Relations Officer respectively have always been open and their contact numbers are there in the public domain. Thus, it is advisable that reports that concerns the force could easily be verified before publication. Members of the press and other persons of the same calling are therefore enjoined to avail themselves of the opportunities made available above before publication please.
