PDP will remain united, party chieftain declares

The Chairman of the  People Democratic Party, PDP, in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, Hon. Felix Erhimedafe  says  PDP will remain united, adding, “united we stand, divided we fall”.

Our Delta Central Correspondent reports that Hon. Erhimedafe stated this during the party’s meeting held at the party Secretariat Isiokolo, he urged members of the party to be united ever than before so as to move the party forward in order to win the forthcoming elections and all Wards Chairmen to mobilize for membership in order to strengthen the party.

The Chairman was happy with the turn-out of elders, leaders and members of the party. According to him, “it is good the party continue to unite like this, for its growth and development”.

The leaders of the party in Ethiope East Local government Area, Chief Benard Ighosotu Edewor, Chief Mike Adiotomre, immediate past House of Representative, Ethiope Federal Constituency, Hon. Sunny Emayese, member Delta State PDP Board of Trustee, Chief Judith Enamuotor   including others who spoke, commended  Hon. Erhimedafe saying the party will remain in one family. On her part, the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Area, Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Faith Majemite said  “we are here today for the unity of our party, PDP to  forge a common front for the party to move forward”.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the meeting, the Director representing Delta Central Board of Delta State Direct Labour Agency, Engr. Blessing  Enamuotor described the meeting  as  a welcome development saying it shows  that all aggrieved members have once again come together as one entity .

Hon. Aurthur Akpowowo and Hon. Sunday Onoriode said, the meeting has marked the end of crisis in the party and they thanked the Chairman and other members to have attended the meeting and advocated for the growth of the party at all levels. They said,” the more we are united like this, the sky is our limit in terms of growth and development".

On his part the PDP Publicity Secretary, Barr. Sunday Akposheri  said, all that the party needs now is consolidation and therefore charged all members  to have the spirit of togetherness to move the party forward.

The highpoint of the meeting was the distribution of various note books and Biro to the 11 wards Chairmen for record and other purposes. 

The meeting which was attended by Chief Young Esiekpe, Chief Ochuko Unuagba Peteke, Chief Tony Oboroh, Chief Lucky Oteheri, Chief (Barr.) Egbonoje,  Chief (Captain) Omovie, Chief (Mrs.). Beauty Anidi, Chief (Barr.) Awunudiogba, Chief Fred Sowho, Chief Abraham Odjighoro, Chief Emmanuel Aworo, Chief Adu among others  was described as one of the best in recent times.
