Wife of the Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Mrs. Omasan Ashima, has gifted drugs and other items to sickle cell warriors at the General Hospital in Koko, headquarters of the Warri North Local Government Area.

Fresh Angle International, can report that Mrs. Ashima who made the donation, Tuesday May 20, advised the sickle cell warriors to keep their dreams and hope alive, by effectively managing the disease, so as to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and nation's economies.

Whilst assuring that the federal, state and local governments were committed to improving the health outcomes and reducing suffering of the sickle cell warriors, the Warri North First Lady, promised equitable access to healthcare services, especially in communities across Warri North Local Government Area.

Mrs. Ashima, described her visit to the hospital as a continuation of her regular intervention, which is an integral part of the ‘YOU MATTER Charity Foundation’ of Wife of Delta State Governor, Deaconess (Mrs.) Tobore Oborevwori, and pet project of Wife of the President, Senator (Mrs.) Oluremi Tinubu.

While receiving the Warri North Chairperson at Koko General Hospital, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Samson Mukoro, commended Mrs. Ashima for “constantly providing support to those that needed it the most”, just as he called on others to emulate Mrs. Ashima.

One of the patients, identified simply Miss Tolu, appreciated Mrs. Ashima, for showing them love and prayed God to give Mrs. Ashima and her husband higher opportunities to do more.

Our Warri Correspondent, reports that Mrs. Ashima was accompanied by Hon. (Mrs.) Rachael Ede, HoD, Community/Information, Warri North Local Government Council, Mrs. Hellen Bamidele and members of the National Council of Women Society, NCWS, Warri North chapter, led by Mrs. Thelma Ede.
