Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director of Jim Brown Marine Security Services Limited, Prince Jim Brown Tesigimoje, on Tuesday April 21, began the distribution of foodstuffs and cash to vulnerable in Warri and environs.

The special stimulus package expected to run for three days, is targeted at no fewer than 1, 500 vulnerable persons.

The event taking place at Yonwuren College in Ugbuwangue, Warri, is the latest in series of humanitarian efforts of the young indigenous marine investor.

Prince Tesigimoje who told newsmen that he consulted with his company in the United Kingdom on the need to assist vulnerable people in Warri and other parts of Delta State, during this COVID - 19 lockdown period, recalled his support to the needy before the Coronavirus plague.

On why he spent over 10 million naira on food items compared to what he's giving out as cash, Tesigimoje explained: " I have been assisting people financially, even before the COVID - 19 Pandemic, but I discovered that giving people foodstuffs would ensure more equitable distribution, than emphasizing on financial assistance likely to benefit only a few to the disadvantage of vast majority".

While commending Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for the state food bank project which" has helped the needy", Prince Tesigimoje enjoined other well - meaning individuals and institutions to support the disadvantaged during this lockdown.

He stressed the imperative for Deltans to practice personal hygiene and other Coronavirus preventive measures like social distancing, so as to contain spread of the pandemic.

The General Manager, Jim Brown Marine Security Services Limited, Kate Nwosu, commended the philanthropic gesture of his boss and assured that the company will continue to perform its corporate social responsibility, particularly as it affects the needy.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the elated beneficiaries, prayed for Prince Tesigimoje and his company, for improved business opportunities.

Items being giving out are bags of rice and garri, cartons of noodles and vegetable oil as well as stipends.
