Newly elected Chairman of Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN, Rev. J.C. Okoroji says his leadership will set up a skill acquisition centre to train boys and girls with a view to making them drop all forms of social vices and embrace Christianity.
The Cleric who stated this during the inauguration of a new executive of CAN in Warri South local government also promised that his leadership will canvass for prison reform.
Rev. Okoroji while appealing to well meaning individuals and corporate bodies to support CAN to enable them acquire a bus to pursue her set goals declared that Christianity started in Warri, Delta State.
In a message at the ceremony through Mrs. P.O. Ikomi, Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan charged Christians especially the Warri South CAN leadership to take the gospel of Christ to rural areas.
Chairman of the inauguration/investiture ceremony, Chief .E.A. Temile appealed to all members and churches that make up CAN Warri South to sustain the new leadership of the association with both prayers and finance.
Chief Temile who was represented by his son, Engr. Godwin Temile also expressed optimism that the new Warri South CAN leadership led by Rev. J.C Okoroji has the needed wealth of experience to handle affairs of Christians in Warri area.
