The State High Court 1 sitting in Warri today stopped the police from arresting the spiritual head (Olaja-Orori) of Ugborodo Community, Warri South-West, Mr. Benson Dube Omadeli and a couple of other leaders of the community.
The Presiding Judge, Hon. Justice .M. Umukoro reportedly ordered the heavily armed police officers to vacate the court premises, saying they lack the authority to effect the arrest of the community heads inside the court as far as the Ugborodo leadership case is concerned.
The leadership crisis in Ugborodo, Warri South-West local government between the Hon. David Tonwe and Chief Thomas Ereyitomi factions has continued to linger with reports of fresh hostilities in the last 24 hours in the troubled community.
