NUJ 2020:  We are poised to give directional leadership, Oyowe assures

Ahead of the July 2 Delta State Council of Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, election, one of the chairmanship candidates, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, has assured that if given the mandate to lead the union, he will provide, “directional leadership that would benefit all members of the Union”.

 

 

Comrade Oyowe, whose campaign team is anchored on the philosophy of PRIZE: “Professionalism, Resource Development, Investment Drive, Zealous Corporate Relationship & Empowerment”, gave the assurance Thursday June 25, during the team's campaign visits to Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, Correspondents’ Chapel and Field Information Officers’ Chapel of Delta State Ministry of Information.

 

                                                                

While insisting that members of his team are, “poised to delivering quality leadership with great understanding of the plight of all members, hence will carry everyone along always”, the two-time NUJ Scribe, promised to setup newspaper that would give Delta NUJ Council a voice”, assuring that in the first three months of assuming office, he will publish a compendium of Journalists in the state, “without collecting money from members”.

 

                                       

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Comrade Oyowe introduced other members of the PRIZE Team to Journalists at Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri and Field Information Officers’ Chapel of Delta State Ministry of Information.

 

 

Other candidates in the PRIZE team as introduced by Comrade Oyowe are: Comrade Victor Sorokwu; Vice Chairman, Deacon Patrick Ochei; Secretary, Thelma Eliogu; Assistant Secretary and Balogun Mabamije.

 

 

The team was reportedly endorsed by the Field Information Officers’ Chapel of Delta State Ministry of Information via a motion moved by Comrade Goldpin Alex Ebiseni and seconded by other members of the chapel present.
