Gunmen have abducted the traditional ruler ofOgbein kingdom in Amassoma, Southern Ijawlocal government area of Bayelsa state.
The gunmen who came into the resident of theAmayanabo of Amassoma on the weekend of July 2 forced their way into the palaceand took the monarch to unknown destination.
Community sources hinted Fresh Angle that themonarch has been ruling without carrying most of his subjects along, save forsome members of the council of elders.
As at the time of filing this report, no wordhas been heard from the kidnappers, while there was uneasy calm in thecommunity.
