The World Health Organization, WHO African Region, says the number of confirmed cases of COVID -19 in Africa, has decreased by 17%, when compared to the last reporting period, Fresh Angle International can report.
According to a statement released this morning, Thursday September 10, by WHO African Region, 82% of COVID- 19 cases in the continent have recovered.
The statement released via WHO African Region twitter handle, revealed further: “10 countries account for 87% (952,062) of reported #COVID19 cases in the African Region: South Africa, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Algeria, Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar & Senegal. South Africa accounts for more than half of cases”.
