As part of his agenda to finish strong, Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan is working towards completing the Trans-Warri Ode-Itsekiri Bridges and Access Roads.
This much was disclosed by the Assistant Chief Engineer, Office of Special Project, Government House Annex, Warri, Engr. Wagbatsoma. O. D when he conducted Newsmen and Staff of Setraco Construction Company round the Trans-Warri Ode-Itsekiri Bridges and Access Roads was awarded in 2006 to Setraco.
He further disclosed that about six bridges(bridges7,6,4,3,2&1) have been completed in Ifiekporo Community which links other 9 communities : Ubeji, Usele, Inorin, Ijala, Ugbodede, Ajigba, Big Warri ( Ode-Itsekiri) Orugbo and Ajetan, while ongoing construction work is taking place in about five other bridges (bridges 24,12,15,14&9).
Fresh Angle learnt that Bridge 24 which is the largest of all bridges under construction has a clearance head-room of about 10mm and the highest water level.
Setraco Civil Engineer, Mr. Matthew Ugboh in a remark noted that his company has already done 55% of the construction work so far in the mega project, adding that the Delta State government has taken care of some of the challenges they initially encountered in the course of executing the project. According to him the challenges were paucity of fund, dredging of sharp sand as well as high tide.
Mr. Ugboh declared that Road 11 in Ode-Itsekiri is ready for Asphalting, noting that the road which measures about 238metres leads to Road 10 and 6 in the same community.
As part of Setraco's Community Relations, Mr. Ugboh said the company also took workers from the various communities to join his company’s work force in executing the project.

Our Senior Correspondentreports that road 6 which is otherwise known as "Erejuwa Secondary School Road “in Ode-Itsekiri is about 1.5 kilometre, while Road 5 intersects Road 6.
