Peace likely in Ugborodo, as Uduaghan inaugurates EPZ Committee

A major breakthrough towards the actualization of permanent peace in the troubled Ugborodo Community, Warri South-West local government was reached earlier today when Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan inaugurated the NNPC EPZ Interface Committee at Asaba, the Delta State Capital.

Fresh Angle gathered that the committee which will be chaired by the only state government representative in the committee, Barr. Austin Oborogbeyi has a key member of Hon. David Tonwe leadership of Ugborodo Community Trust, Dr. Ayo Ayomike as secretary.

Other members of the 21-man committee which has 10 representatives each from both the Chief Thomas Ereyitomi and Hon. David Tonwe leadership are: Hon. David Tonwe, Dr. Alex Ideh, Barr. Maxwell Egbele Okoro, Moses Ajijala, Mrs. Betty Gbubene, Mike Lodge, Tuoyo Ojogor, Elliot Totuoma Ukutse, Femi Wawah, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Prince Perry Atete, Mr. Pullen Esimimajemite, Mr. Isaac Botosan, Mr. Alex Eyengho, Chief Ayirimi Emami, Mr. Sandys Omadeli- Uvwoh, Mr. John Edah, Madam Mercy Olowu and Julius Atete.

The National Association of Itsekiiri Graduates under the leadership of Miss Alero Naomi Tenumah in a swift reaction to the development congratulated the Chairman of the Committee, Barr. Austin Oborogbeyi as well as the members, expressing optimism that the inauguration will usher in “a new peace and unprecedented development not only in Ugborodo, but also in Iwere Kingdom”.

While praying that the newly inaugurated EPZ Committee will ensure that Itsekiri graduates “are not disenfranchised in terms of work placement,” NAIG assured the newly inaugurated Committee Chairman, Barr. Oborogbeyi that “it will work closely with the committee to see that the yearnings and aspirations of all NAIG members are realized”.
