The Head of Personnel Management, HPM cum Acting Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government in Delta State, Mr. Clement Anighoro, has tasked staffers of Ndokwa West Council to work towards improving the Internally Generated Revenue profile of the Council, to enable management address issues bothering on staff welfare.
Mr. Anighoro, gave the charge at the Council Secretariat in Kwale Tuesday February 2, during a meeting he had with staff of the council.
A Principal Assistant Information Officer I, with the Local Government Council, Imasuen Christabel, reports that the HPM spoke on the need for staffers of the Council to dress decently to the office, saying there would be need for attendance register in order, “to fish out those that are not coming to work, yet get paid”.
The Acting Chairman, reportedly promised to replace faulty fans and provide more chairs within the Council Secretariat, to make it more conducive for work.
On the non- implementation of the new minimum wage, the Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Chapter of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, Comrade Iyke Opone, said the union was on it, stating that they will write a reminder letter to the appropriate quarters.
