Ndokwa conducts election, elects an Engineer as PRO

The election of officers into the Apex sociocultural organization of Ndokwa nation, Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU was conducted on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

It was free and fair and inauguration of the new Executive Committee was done immediately.

What came as a shocker that made tongues to wag that the election was manipulated was the election of an Engineer to do the work of a Public Relations Officer, PRO. Mr. Alaska Ekele Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Ndokwa Vanguard was tipped to have a landslide victory because of his Media background and for the fact that he has been using his online publication and newspaper, Ndokwa Vanguard to promote and project Ndokwa nation over the years.

Earlier, Sir Isaac Ananyi led Electoral Committee issued Electoral guidelines debarring government appointees from contesting. When all the aspirants were invited for screening on February 11, 2021 all the government appointees were screened out save for Mr. Ojodume Ogeleka a Special Adviser to Gov Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. Nobody knew why he was screened in until the results were announced; just to rob Mr. Ekele the winning opportunity. We were made to understand that the said Ojodume Ogeleka is from the same place (Ogume) with Alaska Ekele and the delegates from Ogume did not know that he was a candidate until two days to the election through one Lucky Onyia another government appointee who came to solicit for vote. When we enquired to know the person that endorsed his nomination form as the President General of Ogume nobody could provide an answer.

His emergence and eventual clearance suggests that he was planted to deny Alaska Ekele a media guru the chance of winning the election.

In a chat with Alaska Ekele, he said he had since accepted the election results and wished the new Executive Committee well. He said "all things work together for good."

In Ndokwa it is still morning yet on creation day.
