Kogi NYCN: Usman Ogohi Samuel appoints first aides, tasks Excos on dedication, selfless service.


The newly inaugurated Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State chapter, His Youthfulness, Ambassador Usman Ogohi Samuel has announed his first batch of aides to kick start his administration. 

 

The new aides, Mr. Aturu Bishop of the Graphic Newspaper who is to serve as Chief Press Secretary and Ebiloma Israel as Personal Assistant.

 

The chairman who made the announcement during the maiden meeting of the newly inaugurated Executives of the Council,stressed the need for all hands to be on deck if the body must attain success and set goals.

 

Ambassador Usman Ogohi Samuel attributed their success at the poll to God Almighty and congratulated the executives of the council for the success in the council election, called for dedication and selflessness, reminding them that they were elected to serve.

 

He also commissioned a five men committee with the mandate of creating a Kogi State Youth Council calendar of activities and events, to enable tracking of the long and short term goals, while urging all executives to summit proposals of plans and programs they intend to execute as with regards to their offices, he stressed the need for State Executives to consult with the local governments Cordinators in this regard.

 

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Ambassador Usman Ogohi Samuel further charged them to return back to their respective constituencies and thank stakeholders and the youths, while also using the opportunity in collating project and ideas that would be married with the Council's projects, while also urging them to participate fully in their various All Progressive Congress ward Congresses holding across the state, with executives expected to submit reports and feedbacks.

 

The committee according to the chairman will be spear headed by the secretary of the Council, Mr. Danasebe Umar with the programs Cordinator Mr. Julius Abel serving as his secretary. 

 

Ambassador Usman Ogohi Samuel, further pleaded with his executives to ensure open governance as promised during their manifesto and campaigns, while promising to be dedicated to the welfare of the youths and entire council.

 

He further revealed plans by his administration to organize regular symposium and enlightenment campaigns across the 21 Local Governments of the State to sensitized the youths about activities of the Council.

 

The Chairman then declared the secretariat closed till 13th of August 2021 to enable state executives return home and engage their people.

 

Earlier, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Comrade Sunday Osiako thanked the entire executives for the unity displayed so far, adding that such spirit should not just be sustained but built upon for the growth of the Council.
