The Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba, has mourned the sudden demise of (Rtd) Rear Admiral Ndazumi Ibrahim Drisu, Makama of Lokoja..

 

Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Buba, in a condolence message on Tuesday described late Drisu as a man who is loved by many and has sacrificed a lot for humanity.

 

Buba, maintained that the late Admiral will forever be missed by all Kogites, Nigerians and the world in general for his humanitarian role in building a better Nigeria.

 

She noted that, during his life time, Drisu lived an exemplary life who is fully committed to the work of Islam. 

 

Continuing the Commissioner said " We are still shocked to hear the sudden demise of our brother, father, grand father, great grand father and a mentor, (Rtd) Rear Admiral Ibrahim Drisu, Makama of Lokoja. His death is the will of almighty Allah. I can't imagine we will losing so soon a man who during his life time preach peace, love, unity empowers the needy and ensure that state gets positive recognition both locally and internationally.

 words of advise while he was on earth has made us to achieve greatly in Lokoja, Kogi State and Nigeria in general. Am using this medium to condoles with the Maigari of Lokoja, the Families of the deceased and the entire Kogi for this irreplaceable loss. He will forever be missed".

 

Drisu, a Senior Council Member of the Lokoja Emirate Council until his death on Monday 25, October held the traditional title of Nakoji of Muye in Niger State.

 

He is also a high class Chief to the Maigari of Lokoja, and a senior Member of the Nigerian Legion of Ex-service Men Kogi State. 

 

He will be laid to mother earth on Tuesday afternoon in accordance to Islamic rite.
