A Warri Based Beader cum trader, Mrs. Onome Onose, says her business has improved since the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, despite the lockdown experienced in the country sometime in 2020.

Mrs. Onose, who told Fresh Angle International in an exclusive interview in Warri, Tuesday October 26, that she has been in the business for over 11years, stated: “We buy plain accessories from China and India and we design ourselves. We have for men and women. We have for Urhobos, Ijaws, Itsekiris, Ukwanis and Benin (African Beads)”.

She explained further: “We don’t produce Africa beads anymore. These beads are not rubber. We don’t have ancient original beads anymore, but we had it (sic) before (in Nigeria). When we had ancient beads, we didn’t use this (referring to the imported beads/accessories).

“I have been in this business for more than 11years and there is even more improvement than before. That time of COVID-19 pandemic, was the time I had more patronage. I traveled twice a month, depending on sales and I have trained all my children with this business”.

Mrs. Onose’s well-stocked shop is at No. 10 Happy Line, Main Market, Warri, Delta State.
