The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South Local Government Area, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, has advised non-elected and un-appointed  PDP faithful, who are beneficiaries of the party’s newly introduced monthly empowerment programme in Delta State, saying:  “This empowerment is not for beer parlour or buying of wrapper”, but for micro-credit investment.

Fresh Angle International can report that Mr. Agbeyegbe, gave the advice Wednesday November 10, at the PDP Secretariat in Warri, during the second (September) edition of the empowerment programme.

The Warri South PDP Chairman, who restated that the initiative was a directive of His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State Governor, noted that out of the 25 local government areas in the state, Warri South is among the few that have commenced implementation of the programme.

 

Whilst urging appointees to show commitment towards early payment of their monthly obligations, Mr. Agbeyegbe, gave one week to defaulters to meet up their obligations for the September batch of the empowerment programme.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He thanked party leaders and ward chairmen for making the programme seem-less.

High points of the brief ceremony, were the out-calling of names of the 36 beneficiaries for the September edition by the Publicity Secretary of the party in Warri South, Hon. Richard Pessu and the presentation of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) to each of the beneficiaries.

 

 

Chairman of PDP, Okumagba II Ward 12 in Warri South Local Government, Mr. Lawrence Akpoveso, who spoke on behalf of ward chairmen in the area, thanked leadership of the party for sustaining the empowerment.

Our Correspondents report that Grace Umukoro, Roseline Umukoro, Henry Iyangbe, Ruth Fregene Arueyingho, Hope Okiti. Lucky Ibiri, Uyo Cletus, Kolawale Mayor, Ezennaka Benedicta, Memuna Abdulahi, Obelikpeya Godwill, Erhirhe Godspower, Ukekeruke Elizabeth, Eburajolo James and Ifeanyi Aroubi, were among the 36 fresh beneficiaries of the second edition of the programme.

Recall that Peoples Democratic Party in Warri South Local Government Area on Saturday October 2, commenced a monthly empowerment of 36 of its members, three each from the 12 INEC Wards in the Local Government Area.
