COCOSA to unveil signboard as College of Commerce, Warri celebrates 75th Anniversary

College of Commerce Old Students’ Association, COCOSA, is set to unveil a new signboard for College of Commerce, Warri, as part of activities marking the school’s Diamond Jubilee, Our Senior Correspondent, reports

 

College of Commerce Warri, was reportedly founded by two good friends; Chief Joseph Kagho Omomadia JP, the Ezomo of Iyede Kingdom and Barr. (Chief) Edward Gbagbeke Sido on April 14, 1946.

 

According to a statement signed by the National President and National Secretary of COCOSA, Barr. Ederi Patrick and Victor Kolawole Enijuni, respectively as well as the Chairman Anniversary Planning Committee, Chief Reginald Amadi, a 3-day 75th anniversary celebration has been lined up. The three-day event will commence Thursday November 18 with a rally/Inspection of the school premises and official commissioning of the new signboard.

 

While Day 2, Friday November 19, will feature lecture, cultural display and football match between the Current/Old Students at the College premises.

 

It will be followed with an Award and Gala Nite, Saturday November 20 at BB Hotel, Deco Road, Warri.

 

The Ovie of Agbarha-Warri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Orhifi Ememoh II, will be Royal Father of the Day, while the Member Representing Warri Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief (Dr.) Thomas Ereyitomi, will be Special Guest of honour.  

 

 

The member representing Warri South Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru, is also expected as Guest of honour.
