Chairman of Ode-Itsekiri Community Development Committee, Mr. Araye Ebobo has called onElders of Ode-Itsekiri Olu community to restrain from the ongoing media war over who should constitute the Community Management Committee and Elders Council.
The CDC Chairman whospoke to Fresh Angle in an exclusive chat in Warri described thedevelopment as unfortunate, stressing that it is even more worrisome considering the caliber of personalities embroiled in the media crossfire.
While noting that theItsekiri people, particularly indigenes of Ode-Itsekiri Olu community hasconsistently supported Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s peace and security agenda,Mr. Ebobo appealed to all indigenes and stakeholders of the community toimmediately stop the denigrating media advertorials and embrace dialogue so asto move the community, which is the headquarters of Itsekiri ancestry as wellas the CDC forward.
He pledged theresolve of members of Ode-Itsekiri CDC to do everything within its powers toensure that the community continually enjoys the prevailing peace in the areain order not to impede the state government development efforts in Ode-Itsekiriand its surrounding coastal communities.
