Influencing a Worthless World

In this world we areall dying to live, life seems not to care or even feel our frustration for hermethods, she goes on and on with no blur of hope. It seems to be a pit ofendless events of ups and downs embraced with sorrow, while we struggle day andnight with emotions, constantly trying to meet perfection. No doubt we age withtime, only to die to live in an eternity of the unknown. We come and go but theearth lives for almost forever beating our imagination.

The question is howdo we influence a worthless world?

What a person saysand does goes a long way to determine the outcome of a generation to come, nomatter what level or class we are, it is as a result of influence.  No man is an Islandthey say, so that means we are always being bombarded and compounded by otherpeople’s words, actions and attitude. Life is a chain of actions and reactions,it is a shame that most people leave this world without the next generation inmind, always receiving and not giving to life, failing to make an impact, whata shameful way to exit. In a world we are only priviledge to come once andafter that judgement. In this short complex and difficult life, it is a shamenot to leave a Godly legacy behind, it is better to be given birth to as stillborn than to live a wasted life of no impact.

We are going to lookat some few points which I believe can influence sinful world where both therich, poor, foolish and wise animals face the same fate called death.

We are going to belooking at words, attitude, smile and love.

Words: This is themost important influencing tool in the universe, from the beginning of timeitself, the bible says God said in Genesis 13 “let there be light and there waslight”, God could have snap his fingers and there could be light but He wantedto show mortals how powerful His words are in shaping the world. In Genesis19:18 when Lot, Abraham’s nephew was told by the angles of destruction to liveSodom and Gomorah, as he journeyed out in hurry, he saw a village and he calledit small, in the same Genesis 19:22, the village became known as Zoar, whichmeans small, because Lot called it small. We can never underestimate the powerof our words. It is so powerful that anything we say is what we will eventuallyget. Scientist from Russiadid a study on space sounds and found out that every word, careless or notwhich an individual says is trapped in the earth space until it accomplishesits purpose. This goes to show how powerful our words are shaping our lives,instead of saying all the negative, evil and frustrating words on yourself,while not speak words of hope, faith to shape your world and the world aroundyou. Dr. Martin Lurther King Jnr said in the midst of unfavourable circumstance“I have a dream” when he gave that speech there was no hope for him and hispeople at that time, but forty-fives years later, the minority enslaved blackswho had no hope, produced the 44th President of America. Just because one manspoke the word of hope and faith. You too can do the same.

Action and Attitude:Our attitude affect our actions, which also affect our world, it is so funnyhow people go through life with a soar attitude year in and year out, lookingmoody all day long. Always looking to manipulate some-one for one reason oranother. For once, stop being selfish and think of others instead. Everythinghas a problem. Just imagine getting out of your home and everyone, you comeacross look nobody, you definitely get back to your home and try not to go outfor that day. The bible says in Matthew 12:34 “as a man thinketh so is he, youcannot do and say anything that is not you. Most of us have one time or anotherheard about the “Dreamer, Joseph in Genesis 35:5. He had a dream ruling andsaving lives when he was seventeen, it took him thirteen years of endurance forit to manifest in Genesis 41:38. He never stopped thinking of his dream andthat affected his attitude and actions. What you think most of the time willinfluence your word. You must put on positive attitude, if you must shapen thisworthless world like Joseph, Moses, Abraham, Dr. Martin Luther king, Obama andAzikiwe.

Smile: Nothing workswonders like simple smile, a smile say a lot of things, Hello, I love you, Ilike to know you, nothing breaks barriers faster than honest smile with nostrings attached, yet it is so funny how most people go through a whole daywithout really smiling at themselves or others. It is so unfortunate, life ishard, most of life struggles are worthless to leave our lives like robotsunable to enjoy the simple pleasure of nature. Give life a meaning by smiling.

Love: Love they sayover-looks all offense, to shape our world we must be able to love and receivelove without strings attached. Nothing can be achieved in an atmosphere ofconfusion, violence and hatred, the greatest is hatred for oneself. Most peoplehate themselves, they feel inadequate, ugly and fat. This should not be so far,a person’s worth come from the inside in the place call contentment. A personwho is content can learn to love himself, people without contentment can hardlymake sacrifice for others. The bible says for God so love the world that Hegave His only beloved son to die, so that we may have life abundantly (Jhn3:16)so we cannot love without giving and the beneficiaries of that love musthave life from our love, if they are not then we manipulate them. Only genuinelove can bring and influence a worthless world.

We cannot influenceour world positively without knowing the greatest man of influence who out oflove and contentment lay-down His life, so we can live abundantly. His name isJesus Christ. If you do not know Him and you like to have His unconditionallove, just say Lord Jesus, make me like you, I accept you as Lord over my life,forgive my sins. Thank you Jesus for your love in my life.

Only with love andits attribute we sure can influence a worthless world and I believe that as wewalk in love together as a team, we will achieve our dreams.
