The Delta StateCommissioner of Police, Mr. Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe has commended the people ofWarri South-West local government for the low crime rate in the area, saying itreflects justice and peace.
The Commissioner gavethe commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to the Warri South-West CouncilDirector of Personnel Management, Mr. Johnson Boyikokamo, as part of hisfamiliarization tour of local government councils in the state.
The Warri South-WestDPM, Mr. Boyikokamo commended men of the Nigeria Police and the Army deployedto maintain peace in the area for their “indefatigable efforts in ensuringpeace and tranquility in the local government”.
Mr. Boyikokamo suedfor continued synergy between the Police and the Army so as to consolidate onthe security in the local government area, stressing that it is the onlypanacea to progress and development.
He also assured theCommissioner of the council’s preparedness to assist the police with allnecessary support and logistics to enable it tackle all forms of criminalactivities in the area headlong.
Responding, Mr.Mamman Tsafe, thanked the DPM for acknowledging the synergy between securityoperatives in the local government area and told him that as the Chief SecurityOfficer, there is need for the local government council to partner the policein its determination combat the increasing crime wave in the state.
