Champions League Semi:

The stage is now set for one of the most anticipated Champions league semi-final clash in recent times.
The clash which will see cup holders and heavy favourites lock horns with inconsistent former premiership champion, Chelsea, is expected to pitch two contrasting sides against each other.
In our usualanalytical reportage, our Sport Unit file a special in-depth report of how the Roberto Di Matteo tutored side can tame the intimidating attacking foray of Barcelona ably led by the impossible Lionel Messi and possibly qualify for the finals.
The tactical approach which should see Chelsea play a very tight diamond formation of 4-3-3 looks at the following personnel: Petr Cech at goal post, Branislav Ivanovic at the right back, England International, Ashley Cole at the left back, while Captainfantastic, John Terry should pair with either Gary Cahill or promising  David Luiz at the defence.
The midfield should play a very close diamond 3 in the mould of Michael Essien, John Obi Mikel and Ramires. While Michael Essien and John Obi Mickel should sit in front of theblues backline to curtail the highly technical and mesmerizing skillful runs ofLionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, Ramires should be detailed to frustrate the creative attacking play of Xavi and possibly initiate quick counter attackingmove for the blues.
Learned soccerpundits will tell you that the only weak point in the current Barcelona team is their defence. Chelsea can take advantage of that weak link by playing the quick skill of Daniel Sturridge behind the strength and craft of Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres. The import of this attacking formation which should benarrow means that Chelsea will ignore width and compact the midfield, withDaniel Sturridge being the extra man in front of the midfield  trio of Essien, MIkel and Ramires. The experience of Frank Lampard and dexterity of Mata or strength of Flourent Malouda should be utilized in the second half ,thus changing the formation byplaying two wide men after neutralizing Barcelona in the first half.
