Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, has officially declared to contest for the position of President in the 2023 general election.
Governor Bello, who made the declaration in Abuja on Saturday March 2, tasked Nigerians to make informed decisions on who becomes the next President of the most populous black nation in the world.
While warning Nigerians against making the mistakes of the past, the younthful Governor noted that Nigeria deserves to be a one united nation without diversity where no one will be considered a minority if elected as President.
In his speech, the All Progressive Congress Presidential Aspirant promised to create 20 million millionaires by the year 2030 using the South East model of Apprenticeship.
The Governor said his Youthfulness which is a factor that would enhance his performance, assured that he is physically and mentally fit to lead Nigeria to prosperity.
He listed Courage to lead the country as another best selling point he has over others, stressing that his decision to stand alone when it mattered most has vindicated him aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic.
Bello promised to take courageous decisions that would move the country forward.
While noting that achieving security, unity and peace in a large difficult terrain like Kogi State which has remained a positive reference, promised to replicate same in Nigeria when elected.
He added that his excellent record in management would enable him run a country with inclusiveness, thereby making the country great irrespective of tribe, religion, and age.
While promising that his government will ensure fair and equitable distribution of appointments and resources, Bello noted that, if elected as President, he will fight the age long Farmers herders clashes.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Bello, maintained that his administration in Kogi have surpassed the 35% affirmative action for women, assuring of empowerment for Nigerians if elected by ensuring that no one is made to think they are inferior.
insisting that leadership can lead one to stand alone, said in the course of building a virile nation he would do all that is needed to improve the living condition of Nigerians.
In a remarks by the National Coordinator of Yahaya Bello for President, Sen. Jonathan Zwingina, said Gov. Yahaya Bello has what it takes to continue with the positive leadership style of President Mohammadu Buhari.
Sen. Zwingina described Governor Yahaya Bello as a highly detribalized Nigerian, adding
he remains an understanding leader that Nigeria needs.
While pointing out that Nigeria needs a leader like Gov. Bello who embraces other religious beliefs,Sen. Zwingina commended the efforts of Governor Bello in making Kogi State safe from crimes and criminalities.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the ocassion, Salvador Moshood described Gov. Bellos declaration as the hope for a better Nigeria which will end poverty and bad governance.
The Chairman while urging the youthful population in Nigeria to come out enmass and support Gov. Bello, he further urged admonished them to use there 60% population across the country to throw their support for Gov. Bello.
The Chairman added that Gov. Bello has the pedigree, character to lead Nigeria to prosperity, just as he commended his efforts in unifying Kogi State.
