The Commissioner, who acknowledged that the country was passing through some challenges, urged Muslims not to relent in praying for Nigeria and its leaders.

Buba, said the Ramadan fast calls for sober reflection, adding that Muslims should do more in terms of giving to the needy during this period.

"We must admit that the country is facing some challenges. That is why we are calling on our Muslims Brothers and Sisters to use this fasting period to pray for the unity and peace of our dear Country.

"Only Almighty Allah can solve this challenges, if we call on him through prayers," she added.

According to her, Allah will continue to reward those who truly act in accordance with the words of the holy book, which emphasized on love, togetherness, giving and peace.
