As part of measures to ensure an hitch free easter celebration, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police CP Edward Egbuka, on Saturday Led a team of Officers on a confidence boosting and visibility patrol along the major highways across the State vowing to clam down on any criminal element trying to disturb the peace of the celebration.
The intensive patrol were carried out to assess the deployment of personnel and operational assets to reassure the public of the Command determination to provide a peaceful and crime-free environment for all.
The Commissioner of Police, while fielding questions from journalists explained that, he embarked on a patrol to assess the level of compliance on the directives given to the Divisional Police Officers and their supervising Area Commanders to take charge of their area of responsibility.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that Egbuka, however, charged them to redouble their efforts and contain any criminal elements who might want to take advantage of the festive period to perpetrate their evil acts.
He further reiterated the commands commitment to work in synergy with other security Commanders to provide adequate security for all in Kogi State.
