A PDP political pressure group in Warri South local government, Warri Political Forum says one Barr. Christopher Okumagba is not known in the party, stating that he is a two faced political failure who has never contributed anything to the party’s success.
The group, in an apparent reaction to statements credited to Barr. Christopher Okumagba in an interview he granted Urhobo Voice Newspaper, described Chief Okumagba’s outburst as “misguided, misinformed, brazen display of political ignorance and a clear evidence of why the PDP has never won any election in Okumagba ward II since 2003.”
The group stressed that Barr. Christopher Okumagba’s sentiment driven statements which “obviously lacks adequate knowledge of the political status and origin of our political leader, Dr. Joseph Sisanmi Otumara as well as the real identity and political history of Tunde Fregene who emerged as a State Officer of the PDP in an open congress,” is an unfortunate display of dark age ethnic bigotry which the party leadership has vehemently fought against since 1999.
While expressing surprise that the so called party leaders in Okumagba ward II have not deemed it fit to refute Barr. Christopher Okumagba’s misinformed statements, the group advised Barr. Christopher Okumagba to “remain active member of Delta Political Movement” as he has obviously “lost touch” with happenings in Warri South PDP.
They sought to know where Christopher Okumagba was, when his brother, Bernard Okumagba who is the State commissioner of finance, changed his party membership to Okumagba Ward I after failing to deliver Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in the last election in Okumagba Ward II.
