An Abuja based non governmental organization,Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta, PIND, has concludedplans to train selected Niger Delta youths and film professionals practitionersbasic video production as well as technical film making.
According to a statement bythe NGO, selected Niger Delta youths from ONdo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers,Imo, Abia, Akwa IBom and Cross River will undergo courses in camera, editing,production and directing in Warri, Delta State from August 29 through September2, while professional practitioners will take their turn from September 12through 16.
Fresh Angle gathered that a maximum of 35 youths are to benefit fromthe free training programme which will be run by an international filmmaker.The NGO stressed that the concept is designed to give people who have anexisting capacity and interest in video production of greater insight intobasic film theory, practice as well as the latest technologies in the movieindustry.
