OML 42 Host communities, pay condolence visit to Oniyesan family over demise of IRDC Chairman

The Host Communities to OML 42 Oil and Gas fields, operated by Neconde Nigeria Limited, on Monday June 20, paid condolence visit to Oniyesan family over the death of Chairman of Itsekiri Regional Development Committee, IRDC, Amb. Austin Oniyesan, saying their hearts bleed over the sudden demise of late Oniyesan, who passed on recently after a brief illness.

 

Leader of the delegation, Amb. Billy Ekele, said the late Austin Oniyesan was a very strategic member of OML 42 host communities, a good friend, brother and man with good heart.

 

Amb. Ekele described late Amb. Oniyesan as a young, strong and vibrant man, who stood firm for issues and was very supportive to the OML 42 body.

 

While condoling the wife and other family members of Amb. Oniyesan, the delegation of the OML 42 host communities, through Ekele, said: “Death is inevitable, nobody can escape it, everyone is appointed to die, when the time comes and when we lose our love ones, it is usually so painful".

 

They encouraged Mrs. Jemine Oniyesan, wife of the former IRDC Chairman and the family to take solace in God’s comfort, while also assuring of assistance during the funeral activities.

 

The Oniyesan family, commended the delegation from the OML 42 host communities for identifying with them in their time of grief as well as for their support, saying it has given them more hope and strength to move on.

 

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Francis Ayeku, Comrade Albert Pouke, Warri Rebels, Comrade Preye Ajemigi and Wilfred Ikika, were among members of the delegation of OML 42 host communities, present during the condolence visit.
