Stakeholders and the youth leadership of Okere Community in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State, reportedly took bold steps today, Friday July 8, to end activities of cultists and peddling of illicit drugs in the community by shutting down suspected joints where illicit drugs are sold, consumed and used as relaxation spot for suspected cultists.
The action, was sequel to a security meeting held Okere Town Hall on the behest of Youth Chairman of Okere Community, Comr. Ogbolomo Lucky, backed by some prominent indigenes of the community, including Hon. (Barr.) David Oki, Hon. Daniel Alidu, Comr. Esimaje Awani, Mr. Williams Tseke, Mr. Ufuoma Ugburo and Mr. Sunny Ejeye.

Fresh Angle International understands that resolutions reached at the meeting before implementation of shutdown of the joints, were as follow: “All illegal joints and ghettos, to be shutdown with immediate effect, all illegal gatherings, highly prohibited in the community, smoking and sale of any hard substance, prohibited, all cult related activities, prohibited and anyone, who violates the order, will face the full wrath of the law”.
