Leader of Warri South - West Legislative Arm in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Emiko Odin - Etuwewe, has dismissed report by an online newspaper that he was impeached Monday, July 18, saying he adjourned the House sitting sine die (indefinitely) once he noticed, " rancour", even as a former Deputy Leader of the Council's legislature and chieftain of PDP in the area, Hon. (Engr.) Thomas Emami, in the dawn of today, Tuesday July 19, warned that the, " fraudulent plot" to remove Rt. Hon. Etuwewe, will not be tolerated, " under Warri Kingdom."
Hon. Emami, in a terse message to Fresh Angle International, described the plot to impeach Rt. Hon. Etuwewe as blackmail, which will not be accepted, just as he urged the Federal government to immediately end the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU and prayed ," Delta State presents the best come 2023 polls."
Meanwhile, Rt. Hon. Etuwewe in an exclusive telephone chat with Your Soaring International Tabloid this morning, declared that the House remains adjourned indefinitely and his position as Leader is intact, in line with relevant section of Delta State law, establishing legislative arms of local government councils as it relates to leadership of the House.
He averred that members of Warri South - West Legislative Arm, who exhibited rancour yesterday before the House was adjourned sine die by him, fell short of the number required to impeach him, " even in the controversial notice " they displayed after the adjournment.
