Nigeria, has recorded huge spike in COVID - 19 cases with new 619 infections, Fresh Angle International can report.
Figures obtained from the verified twitter handle of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC few minutes ago, revealed that the 619 new COVID - 19 infections, were recorded between July 21 and July 22.
Ekiti State, reported the highest infection with 364 cases, while Lagos and Rivers states, recorded 62 and 58 cases respectively.
Delta State was fourth on the log with 27 infections, leaving the FCT, Oyo, Cross River and Abia states with 22, 19, 16 and 14 new cases in that order.
According to the NCDC, Kano, Bayelsa, Nasarawa, Gombe, Plateau and Bauchi states, reported 12, 11, 8, 3, 2 and one infections, respectively.
This Newspaper, understands that with the statistics released this morning, Saturday July 23 by the NCDC, Nigeria now has 260, 339 confirmed cases of COVID - 19 with 253, 566 discharged and 3, 147 deaths.
