Report just reaching Fresh Angle International reveals that ethnic militias believed to be from Gbaramatu in the wee hours of this morning attacked Madangho, an Itsekiri community in Escravos, Warri South West Local Government Area in Delta State, shooting sporadically and burning several houses as well as properties
It was not immediately known if any casualty was recorded, but indigenes and residents of the community who were taken unaware by the very early morning shooting scampered for safety, with many running into the bush.
It was gathered that some Ijaw youths from Gbaramatu were allegedly clearing Kpokpo, an Itsekiri community in Ugborodo yesterday when they were stopped by some Ugborodo youths over perceived invasion of their community, which has been labeled to be part of Gbaramatu land as a result of the Deep Sea Port location.
It was as a result of the argument yesterday that the Ijaw youths struck overnight in a bid to overrun their Itsekiri neigbours.
